Celebrating Diversity, Empowering Each Other
At IWAC, we strive to integrate women from all backgrounds, cultures, races, colours, creeds, and religions into UK society. Here’s how we achieve this through our various services:

Our Services

Progressing Women’s Causes
We collaborate with organisations like The Fawcett Society, which campaigns for gender equality and women’s rights in the UK. They provide research, policy recommendations, and advocacy on key issues such as the gender pay gap and women’s representation in politics. Another partner is the Gender and Development Network (GADN), which promotes women's rights globally and works on issues like economic justice and political voice

Women’s Development
For personal and professional growth, we offer training programs in collaboration with The Women’s Organisation, which provides workshops on leadership, financial literacy, and career development. Their “Women’s Workplace Wellness” and “Mind & Money Programme” are particularly beneficial.

Cultural Days
To celebrate cultural diversity, we organise events with the National Alliance of Women’s Organisations (NAWO), which hosts cultural days and international events that highlight the rich heritage of different communities. These events include traditional food, music, and art, fostering a sense of community and mutual respect.

Women’s Health
We promote health awareness and access to healthcare through partnerships with organisations like the British Council, which supports gender equality and empowerment initiatives. They run programs focused on health education and connecting women with healthcare services.

Breaking Barriers of Isolation
We create a supportive community through social gatherings and peer mentoring programs. Our collaboration with local community centres and support groups helps combat loneliness and build meaningful relationships among women from diverse backgrounds.

Assimilating into the UK Culture
To help women integrate into UK society, we provide language classes and cultural orientation sessions. Organisations like the British Council offer practical workshops on navigating public services and understanding the legal system, which are essential for newcomers

Educating Our Children
We support educational initiatives for children by working with educational charities and local schools to provide tutoring programs and after-school activities. This ensures children succeed academically and fosters a positive learning environment at home.

Mentoring in Business
Our business mentorship program connects aspiring female entrepreneurs with experienced mentors through partnerships with organisations like The Women’s Organisation, which offers business development workshops and networking events
Opportunities in the UK Economy
We educate women about economic opportunities by offering workshops on job searching, career planning, and financial management. We also provide information on job opportunities and training programs available through our network of partners.
Signposting Services
Our signposting service guides women to relevant organisations and support services, including legal advice, housing assistance, and mental health support. We work closely with local councils and social services to ensure women can access the help they need.
